Hi, I noticed that **Gemini 3.5 Transcribe Live** is now available in LiveKit Agent Builder, but **Bulgarian (`bg-BG`)** is missing from the language dropdown.

Google officially supports Bulgarian for this model. Are you planning to add it in the near future?

Thanks!

It looks like Google list Bulgarian as experimental at [Gemini 3.5 Transcribe | Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform | Google Cloud Documentation](https://docs.cloud.google.com/gemini-enterprise-agent-platform/models/gemini/3-5-transcribe#supported-languages) which I guess is why we don’t claim support for it through LiveKit, however you can still specify the language code and it will be passed through to the model:

```python
        stt=inference.STT(
            model="google/gemini-3.5-transcribe-live",
            extra_kwargs={"language_codes": ["bg-BG"]},
        ),
```

I know you were asking about Agent Builder, but this isn’t possible through Agent Builder, you would need to download the code and make the modification manually, as described here:

> **[Convert to code - Agent Builder | LiveKit Documentation](https://docs.livekit.io/agents/start/builder/#convert-to-code)**
>
> The LiveKit Agent Builder lets you prototype and deploy simple voice agents through your browser, without writing any code. It's a great way to build a proof-of-concept, explore ideas, or stand up a working prototype quickly. | Prototype simple voice...

Can’t we change the output code directly in the platform itself? I can see that there is a source code output window in read only mode.

Unfortunately Agent Builder doesn’t allow you to modify the code, so you would have to:

- Download the code
- Make the modification
- Test the change (the easiest way to do this is to install the LiveKit [CLI](https://docs.livekit.io/intro/basics/cli/) and run `lk agent console` from inside the downloaded folder)
- Deploy your changed agent (the easiest way to do this is to delete the existing cloud agent created with Builder, and run `lk agent create` from inside the downloaded folder)

Ok, thanks for your help!

So we tried this with both Bulgarian and English and it’s not working. STT stays empty for some reason and the agent doesn’t get the transcripts at all.

[agent.py](https://community.livekit.io/uploads/short-url/ss6XAy7Lyw2gVu6IceiiprHuoyp.py) (8.5 KB)

Maybe try the attached? This was what I created yesterday based on [GitHub - livekit-examples/agent-starter-python: A complete voice AI starter for LiveKit Agents with Python. · GitHub](https://github.com/livekit-examples/agent-starter-python) . You can clone that, replace the `agent.py` and run `lk agent dev`. You should then get the following:
