Does LiveKit return the detected language when using STT?

This question originally came up in our Slack community and the thread has been consolidated here for long-term reference.

Does LiveKit return the detected language when using STT? I know that STT vendors return this in their response, but I couldn’t find anything related to a language param in the docs.

There’s nothing specifically in the LiveKit framework that accounts for the detected language in STT. Individual plugins may expose this, but it seems to be uncommon.
