We are integrating Airtel IMS trunk with LiveKit SIP through OpenSIPS SBC.

Issue observed:

  • Airtel sends reliable provisional responses:

    • 183 Session Progress

    • Require: 100rel

    • RSeq: 1

  • OpenSIPS forwards these responses correctly.

  • However, no PRACK request is generated towards Airtel.

  • Airtel keeps retransmitting the 183 Session Progress with the same RSeq.

  • RTP and SIP signaling are otherwise working normally.

Environment:

  • LiveKit SIP

  • OpenSIPS 3.6.7

  • Airtel IMS SIP Trunk

Question:
Does LiveKit SIP currently support PRACK / RFC 3262 (100rel) for reliable provisional responses? If not, is there any recommended workaround or roadmap for PRACK support when interoperating with IMS carriers that require 100rel?

I don’t think it is supported. Do you have a PCAP or call id I can look at?
