LiveKit is excited to release support for forwarding pre-encoded video over Video Tracks in the C++, Rust, and GO SDKs. This lets applications avoid an extra transcoding step and send already-encoded video frames directly to a LiveKit room.

Use this path for a hardware encoder, an existing media pipeline, or a camera that produces encoded video. Use a regular video source when your application produces raw pixel buffers.
