Does LiveKit now support Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Preview? I tried calling it in my Agent Session and had some issues.
There are some known issues, please see fix(google realtime): support gemini-3.1-flash-live-preview by Hormold · Pull Request #5251 · livekit/agents · GitHub for the latest updates. Originally I was pointing developers to that PR as a workaround for these issues, but see the subsequent comments from DavidZhao, where the desire is to fix this properly, in the model.
They do. But if you mean a real time like Gemini 3.1 flash live, if you mean a live API, then Google hasn’t released a real-time model for Gemini 3.1 flash lite, and I don’t think they will. If you are planning to use just for telephony, then I think you will face latency issues ( not certain ).
