Hello LiveKit Support, I am troubleshooting my project **Africana TV**. My application successfully generates a participant token, and the token API returns HTTP 200. However, the browser repeatedly receives HTTP 429 (Too Many Requests) from the LiveKit

Hello LiveKit Support,

I am experiencing the same issue with my Africana TV project on the Build plan.

My billing dashboard shows $0.00 total cost, 6,301 additional WebRTC participant minutes, and 252 GB total downstream bandwidth for October 2026.

My Usage and limits page shows 0/100 peak concurrent participants and 0/10K API requests per minute, but my LiveKit WebSocket connections keep failing and my host camera remains stuck on “Host camera loading…”

Could you please check whether my project has reached a connection-minute or bandwidth quota, or whether there is a quota enforcement issue?

I would like to resolve this without upgrading unless an upgrade is genuinely required.

Thank you.

Hi, the best place to see this is on the billing page:

https://cloud.livekit.io/projects/p_/settings/billing

Your WebRTC participant minutes has exceeded the free quota.

It is genuinely required as you are about 2x the free allowance. If you upgraded to ship you would get about 30x the free limit, so you would be well within tolerance. The line on the pricing page is Pricing | LiveKit

The reason it shows $0.00 total cost is because you are on the free plan, it doesn’t mean that those ‘additional’ minutes are free - that is the amount you have exceeded your allowance  .
