please update Turn Detection Model there is a great and brand new QWEN 3.5 0.8B model available.
Are you saying that the QWEN has great turn detection? I am not quite sure what the new QWEN models has to do with turn detection updates.
no, if you look inside the multilingual model it uses an OLD Qwen model, it’s time to update it!
Thanks filippo, the engineering team are aware. I get the impression it’s not as simple as “latest QWEN model == better turn detection” but our team continually strive to offer the best turn detection within the constraints of a realtime voice agent.
In the mean time, and for anyone else finding this thread, the advice remains to make sure you are using the latest version of the turn detector plugin, Updating the Turn Detector Model | LiveKit , to get the most recent validated & tested model.
