Hey team
New to livekit coming from VAPI, currently exploring on the beginning tier before committing to a build in production.
I can see the plan tiers and their pricing on the dashboard, and I can see the fixed concurrent call limits per tier (5, 20, etc.). What I can’t find is:
- How much does it cost to add additional concurrent calls beyond what’s included in a tier? Is there a per-call add-on price?
- Or is the only way to increase concurrency to jump to the next full tier?
This is a key factor for me before I invest development time — I need to understand how costs scale if I need, say, just a few more concurrent calls than a tier includes.
Appreciate any clarity on this. Thanks!
Short answer: there isn’t a per-call add‑on price for extra concurrent agent sessions on the lower tiers.
Concurrency is fixed per plan:
-
Build: 5 concurrent agent sessions
-
Ship: 20 concurrent agent sessions
-
Scale: Starts at 50, up to 600 (you can request more via the dashboard)
-
Enterprise: Custom
So if you need more concurrency than your tier includes (e.g., 6 on Build or 25 on Ship), you would move to the next tier. On Scale and above, concurrency can be increased beyond the starting allocation by request.

Are you planning phone-based agents or web/mobile sessions? That can influence overall cost structure beyond concurrency. I assume you will be hosting your agents in LiveKit cloud?
Thank you for the answer on this, on the scale plan, as that looks like the minimum we will need to trial a potential move, how much does it cost for incremental from 60 up to 600?
And when going onto custom, what’s the minimum MRR you require for this?
Sorry didn’t answer your other q’s, yes we will use clouds, and will be doing mainly phone, web will be edge cases based on our clients.
We are getting a little beyond my area of expertise. Let me see if I can get you connect to someone who can answer these questions for you.
Can you reach out here and they can get you the details you need:
