Empty_timeout and ceiling of plans

Hello LiveKit Team and Community!

I’d like to ask two questions about a self-hosted Python agent (livekit-agents 1.8.8) connecting to LiveKit Cloud as a participant:

  1. Is a room billed while it has no participants left, until empty_timeout expires? Our agent leaves on participant disconnect, so the window is short, but I need to know whether it is billed at all.
  2. What is the concurrent participant ceiling on the Ship and Scale plans? The quotas page gives 100 for Build but no figure for the paid plans.

LiveKit bills participant minutes, not room minutes.

You can look here: https://cloud.livekit.io/projects/p_/settings/quotas to see what the current limits for your account are. Ship and Scale plans can request increases for the limit there too.
