Why does my session still show as ACTIVE on my dashboard, even though the session is over?

The data displayed on the dashboard is not real-time and there will be a delay between your session closing, and the session showing as closed on the dashboard.

For an accurate picture of which sessions are currently active, you can use the LiveKit CLI, lk room list , which will return a list of active sessions. If your room shows in this list, the session is still active but can be closed by deleting the room.

Will this affect my bill? The amount you are billed for a session will accurately reflect the time the session was truly active.

My session has been unexpectedly active for a very long time, is that OK?

If your session shows as active on the dashboard but does not appear in the CLI (lk room list) please wait 24 hours before contacting support, or raising a question on this forum. During this time our analytics reconciler will catch any sessions incorrectly reported as running, and close them with an accurate end time.

In all cases you will only be charged for the time that your session was truly active.
