Room Ended But Session is still Active

Symptoms:

• Room ended at 2:11:38 PM.
• Session analytics page has an end time.
• Session events contain “Room ended”.
• lk room list returns empty.
• lk room delete returns “room does not exist”.
• Session list still shows ACTIVE and duration keeps increasing. (currently 309 minutes)

Why does my session still show as ACTIVE on my dashboard, even though the session is over? The data displayed on the dashboard is not real-time and there will be a delay between your session closing, and the session showing as closed on the dashboard. For an accurate picture of which sessions are currently active, you can use the LiveKit CLI, lk room list , which will return a list of active sessions. Apologies for the inconvenience, we are seeing elevated reports of this and we are working to make the experience better. In the short term though, please be aware that this is dashboard-only behaviour, the CLI is reporting accurate figures and the dashboard should be updated to show accurate numbers in due course.
