“I’m trying to use accept_whatsapp_call via the Python SDK but getting permission_denied: whatsapp call is not enabled for this project. Can you enable WhatsApp calling for my project? Project ID: [your project ID from cloud.livekit.io]”
Hi Hirdesh, the WhatsApp connector is still in beta, I can invite you to the beta program for this feature?
It looks like you quoted your question, and have copied it from a template?
Hi @darryncampbell,
I’m using the TypeScript SDK and seeing a similar error message when using ConectorClient.acceptWhatsAppCall():
Forbidden: whatsapp call is not enabled for this project
Would you please invite me to the beta program?
PS. I’ve found the Connector Interest Check & Beta Testing Google form via Slack and submitted that.
Many thanks,
Matthew
@matthew I added you to the Slack channel for this beta program, please see the pinned comment in that channel for documentation and other information.
Your project still needs to be enabled, let me ask about this internally, if you have already filled in the form it’s probably just pending approval.
Edit: your project is now enabled ![]()
Many thanks @darryncampbell ![]()
And thanks for pointing me to the docs. I’ve managed to get everything hooked up and working. Also, I’ve created an additional project for each of my environments, dev, staging and prod. This was the LLM’s recommendation. Is it a good the way to go? I’ve submitted the form again for each new project.
Do you know if there are likely to be breaking changes or am I reasonably safe to push this to prod, to a limited number of users, in the near future?
This feature is in Beta so I would anticipate breaking changes at some point as the interface is refined. Beta is not equal to production.
Hi @darryncampbell, I’m testing inbound WhatsApp calling with ConnectorClient and I’m getting the same error: “whatsapp call is not enabled for this project”.
I’ve already submitted the beta signup form. Is there anything else needed to get this enabled?
@David_de_la_Cruz if you private message me the project ID (p_) that you want enabled, I can take a look ![]()
